Fastener & Manufacturing Trade Shows 2026–2027

Fastener and Manufacturing Trade Shows 2026–2027: The Calendar Every Industrial Buyer Needs

October 29, 2026 · Industry news

Trade shows are still where suppliers get shortlisted, processes get compared and trends show up before they reach purchase orders. For anyone sourcing industrial fasteners for North American plants, the coming months combine high-volume Asian fairs, specialized European fastener shows and Mexican manufacturing events. Here are the most relevant ones, with dates confirmed by their organizers and what to look for at each.

October–November 2026: Canton Fair, Guangzhou (China)

The autumn edition of the China Import and Export Fair (140th session) runs in three phases: October 15–19, October 23–27 and October 31–November 4, 2026. Tools and hardware are grouped in Phase 1, together with machinery and manufacturing equipment.

What to look for: it is the place to benchmark prices for high-volume standard products. But the math changed in 2026: since January 1, Mexico charges tariffs of 5% to 50% on more than 1,400 tariff lines imported from countries without a trade agreement, including China, with steel among the affected sectors. In the U.S., Section 232 duties on steel derivatives also apply to many fasteners. Add duties, freight and transit time before comparing quotes.

February 23–25, 2027: Expo Manufactura, Monterrey (Mexico)

The 31st edition of Expo Manufactura will be held at Cintermex, Monterrey, covering automation, CNC machining and digital transformation. It is Mexico’s largest manufacturing show and the meeting point for plants in northern Mexico.

What to look for: domestic suppliers with in-house processes, capacity for made-to-drawing parts and fast response times. For nearshoring supply chains, having your fastener supplier close by matters as much as price.

April 6–8, 2027: Fastener Fair Global, Stuttgart (Germany)

The leading international show dedicated exclusively to the fastener and fixing industry. Its 11th edition will take place at Messe Stuttgart. It is held every two years and brings together manufacturers, distributors and suppliers of machinery, coatings and raw materials from around the world.

What to look for: technical trends (hexavalent-chromium-free coatings, pre-applied thread adhesives, lot traceability) and new requirements from European and automotive customers.

April 2027: Hannover Messe (Germany)

Europe’s flagship industrial fair is scheduled for April 5–8, 2027, according to its official website. It is not a fastener show, but it sets the automation, energy and Industry 4.0 agenda that end customers later ask for.

May 4–6, 2027: FABTECH Mexico, Monterrey

FABTECH Mexico returns to Cintermex, Monterrey. It focuses on welding, cutting, forming and metal fabrication, processes closely tied to the structures and assemblies that use structural fasteners.

What to look for: fabricators of structures, trailers, machinery and electrical equipment that need high-grade fasteners such as the A325 structural bolt or Grade 5 hex bolts.

Other shows to watch

  • Fastener Expo Shanghai (China): held every year, usually in June; 2027 dates are not yet confirmed.
  • International Fastener Expo (United States): the North American fastener distribution show, every fall; confirm the 2027 venue and dates with the organizer.

How to get the most out of a show as a fastener buyer

  1. Bring drawings and annual volumes. A serious quote for a custom part needs a drawing, material, standard, finish and quantity.
  2. Ask which processes are in-house. Forging, heat treatment and coating under one roof reduce lead times and quality risk.
  3. Calculate landed cost. Duties, freight, safety stock and replenishment time weigh as much as unit price.
  4. Ask for traceability. Material certificates and test reports by lot are now standard in automotive and energy.

APISA Fasteners has manufactured standard and custom made-to-drawing fasteners at its plant in Hidalgo, Mexico, since 1981. If you are attending any of these shows or want to compare options beforehand, contact us and we will help you put your requirement together.
